CHRISTIAN APPALACHIAN PROJECT, INC.

VOLUNTEER PROGRAM

A Personal Response

Thank you for your very kind interest in our service work here in eastern Kentucky, USA.

The Christian Appalachian Project (CAP) is a non-profit, inter-denominational, Christian organization located in eastern Kentucky.  Our purpose is to help the people of Appalachia help themselves.

To be a CAP volunteer you will need residence in the USA for a period of one year or more with the appropriate Visa and a valid USA driver’s license.  We are unable to sponsor volunteers who wish to obtain a Visa.  We are also unable to write an official letter of acceptance.

When you meet the above requirements there is an admissions procedure that includes the following:

v      An application with a placement interest sheet

v      Three (3) written references

v      Criminal records search report

After the application is received and reviewed a personal on-site interview in Kentucky is necessary.  You will be responsible for the expense of transportation to and from the interview and your return, pending your and CAP’s agreement for service placement.

Thank you for your interest.  Be assured of our prayers for you.

Sincerely,

Kim Otto
